Introducing Our Team:

Buttercups Day Care Nursery is made up of a team of competent, committed and experienced professionals.

 

All of our the team hold a minimum qualification of

NVQ Level 3 or above in child care.

 

All staff take part in regular core training programs such as:

 

*     Worcestershire Safeguarding

*     Paediatric First Aid

*     Level 2 Food Hygiene

 

as well as training and qualifications to support their own Continuous Professional Development (CPD) such as:

 

*     Management and Leadership

*     Team Leader

Ann Vale

Proprietor

 

Ann's Background and Role and Responsibilities:

Ann has been working with children for 24 years.  In the early days, she volunteered and worked with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) organisations.  From there, having started a family of her own, Ann began childminding from home in Romsley. Having built up a strong reputation and clientele in the local community, this enabled her to make the transition from childminder to professional nursery proprietor.

Michelle Lloyd

Nursery Manager

 

Michelle's Role and Responsibilities:

Michelle oversees the day-to-day running of the nursery, and is the main point of contact.  She maintains ratio, policies & procedures, ensures good practice and deals with all nursery enquiries.  Michelle is qualified to Level 6, holding a BA Single Honours in Early Childhood Education and Care, BTEC Level 5 in Management & Leadership and Level 4 in Humanities.  Michelle is the Setting SENCO enabling effective early identification of SEND.  She is also the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of Sarah.  Michelle has many years experience in the sector and has grown up children of her own.

Sarah Akram

Deputy Nursery Manager

Caterpillars Room Leader (0-2 years)

 

Sarah's Role and Responsibilities:

Sarah works in our Baby Room, settling-in and introducing the children to nursery routine and providing care and education to our youngest children.  She uses learning through play to guide our children in the Prime Areas of Learning - Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language and Physical Development.

Sarah is also the Deputy Manager of the nursery and the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Sarah is qualified to EDI Level 3 status in Early Learning and Childcare and also holds BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Management and has a wealth of experience and her own children.

Danielle Walker

Caterpillars Room Practitioner (0-2 years)

 

Danielle's Role and Responsibilities:

Danielle works in our Baby Room alongside Sarah, settling-in and introducing the children to nursery routine and providing care and education to our youngest children.  

Danielle is qualified to NVQ Level 3 status in Children's Learning and Development.

Nicola Evans

Third-in-Charge

Butterflies Room Practitioner (2-3 years)

 

Nicola's Role and Responsibilities:

Nicola works in our Toddler Room, promoting independence through a more structured day and implementing potty training and managing feelings and behaviour.  The children learn through play over the 7 Areas of Learning (3 Prime and 4 Specific Areas).

Nicola is qualified to HND Level 5 status in Advanced Practice in

Working with Children & Families.

Heather Russell

Butterflies Room Practitioner (2-3 years)

                                         

Heather's Role and Responsibilities:

Heather works in out Toddler Room alongside Nicola, providing continuity of care and education through play.

Heather is qualified to NVQ 3 in Child Care, Learning and Development.

Jasmine Dean

Butterflies Room Practitioner (2-3 years)

 

Jasmine's Role and Responsibilities:

Jasmine works in our Pre-school Room, promoting independence, self-care and allowing children to extend and elaborate their play ideas by scaffolding their learning and helping children to have their own ideas and choose ways to do things.

Jasmine is qualified to CACHE Level 3 Diploma in the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator).

Emma Fleming

Support Staff - All Rooms                                            

 

Emma's Role and Responsibilities:

Emma works in all of our rooms, providing staff support during busier days, holiday and sickness cover.

Emma is qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
